Microwave Reheating Guide for Packed Meals

Reheating your meal properly can make a world of difference in taste and texture. Here's a handy guide to help you get the most out of your packed meals, with special emphasis on our eco-friendly paper or biodegradable packaging.

General Guidelines:

  • Always remember to loosen or remove the lid before microwaving to allow steam to escape.

  • Stir your food halfway through reheating to ensure even heat distribution.

  • Let your food stand for a minute or two after microwaving. This allows the heat to be distributed evenly throughout the dish.

  • Use microwave-safe covers such as wax paper, microwave-safe plastic wrap, or a microwave-safe lid to prevent splatters.

  • All of our packaging is microwave-safe. You can reheat them using the packaging we have for your meals, or you can transfer them in a microwave-safe plate or bowl.

Meats:

  1. Place the meat in a microwave-safe dish.

  2. Add a small amount of broth or water to the dish to keep the meat moist.

  3. Cover with a microwave-safe lid or microwave-safe plastic wrap.

  4. Heat on medium power (50%) for 1-2 minutes, then check the temperature. If it's not hot enough, continue heating in 30-second intervals.

  5. Let stand for a minute before eating.

Soups:

  1. Pour soup into a microwave-safe bowl.

  2. Cover with a microwave-safe lid, leaving a gap for steam to escape.

  3. Heat on high power for 3 minutes, then stir.

  4. Continue heating in 1-minute intervals, stirring after each until the soup is heated to your liking.

Sandwiches and Breads:

  1. Wrap the sandwich or bread in a paper towel to absorb excess moisture and prevent it from getting soggy.

  2. Place it on a microwave-safe plate.

  3. Heat on medium power (50%) for 1 minute.

  4. Check if it's warm enough. If not, continue heating in 15-second intervals.

(Note: Some sandwiches with fresh ingredients like lettuce and tomatoes are best heated deconstructed. Warm the bread and meat separately, then reassemble.)

Pasta:

  1. Transfer pasta into a microwave-safe dish.

  2. Add a splash of water or sauce to prevent it from drying out.

  3. Cover with a microwave-safe lid or microwave-safe plastic wrap.

  4. Heat on high power for 1-2 minutes, then stir.

  5. Continue heating in 1-minute intervals, stirring after each, until hot.

Remember, microwaves can vary in power, so these are general guidelines. Always check your food's temperature before digging in. Enjoy your meal!
