Microwave Reheating Guide for Packed Meals
Reheating your meal properly can make a world of difference in taste and texture. Here's a handy guide to help you get the most out of your packed meals, with special emphasis on our eco-friendly paper or biodegradable packaging.
General Guidelines:
Always remember to loosen or remove the lid before microwaving to allow steam to escape.
Stir your food halfway through reheating to ensure even heat distribution.
Let your food stand for a minute or two after microwaving. This allows the heat to be distributed evenly throughout the dish.
Use microwave-safe covers such as wax paper, microwave-safe plastic wrap, or a microwave-safe lid to prevent splatters.
All of our packaging is microwave-safe. You can reheat them using the packaging we have for your meals, or you can transfer them in a microwave-safe plate or bowl.
Meats:
Place the meat in a microwave-safe dish.
Add a small amount of broth or water to the dish to keep the meat moist.
Cover with a microwave-safe lid or microwave-safe plastic wrap.
Heat on medium power (50%) for 1-2 minutes, then check the temperature. If it's not hot enough, continue heating in 30-second intervals.
Let stand for a minute before eating.
Soups:
Pour soup into a microwave-safe bowl.
Cover with a microwave-safe lid, leaving a gap for steam to escape.
Heat on high power for 3 minutes, then stir.
Continue heating in 1-minute intervals, stirring after each until the soup is heated to your liking.
Sandwiches and Breads:
Wrap the sandwich or bread in a paper towel to absorb excess moisture and prevent it from getting soggy.
Place it on a microwave-safe plate.
Heat on medium power (50%) for 1 minute.
Check if it's warm enough. If not, continue heating in 15-second intervals.
(Note: Some sandwiches with fresh ingredients like lettuce and tomatoes are best heated deconstructed. Warm the bread and meat separately, then reassemble.)
Pasta:
Transfer pasta into a microwave-safe dish.
Add a splash of water or sauce to prevent it from drying out.
Cover with a microwave-safe lid or microwave-safe plastic wrap.
Heat on high power for 1-2 minutes, then stir.
Continue heating in 1-minute intervals, stirring after each, until hot.
